Frequently Asked Questions
No. Circularity Activation is not a soapmaking workshop. This is a hands-on sustainability workshop where participants work with rescued milk cartons, learn what it really takes to repurpose waste, and take home a pre-packed My Naked Bar Face & Body soap bar in rescued carton packaging. The focus is circularity, reuse, sorting, practical waste reduction, and the effort behind turning familiar household waste into something useful.
Not as a standard corporate workshop. The type of cold-process soap we make requires proper crafting conditions and NEA-related location requirements, so it can only be conducted in a suitable permitted space such as our studio or an approved lab setup. This is different from Melt & Pour soapmaking, where ready-made soap bases are melted and poured, and can usually be conducted more easily at an office or event venue. For now, our soapmaking workshops are only considered on an on-demand basis for small groups of up to 4 participants per session. They are not suitable for corporate group sizes.
Participants hear the story behind My Naked Bar’s rescued milk carton packaging, then work with collected milk cartons to assess and cut open the material. They will learn different ways milk cartons can be upcycled into useful items, and why upcycling is often a very manual process. The session also invites participants to think about how upcycling can be scaled through better systems, smarter design, and innovative ideas.Along the way, participants see why cleaning, drying, sorting, labour, logistics, and material condition matter when we talk about circularity. Each participant takes home one pre-packed My Naked Bar Face & Body soap bar in rescued milk carton packaging.
For hygiene and quality control, the soap bars are pre-packed by My Naked Bar.Participants may be working with cartons collected from homes or offices, and some cartons may turn out to be unsuitable for reuse. That is part of the learning. Real-world reuse is not magically clean or convenient. It takes effort, proper sorting, and a clear standard.
Yes, this is strongly encouraged because it is part of the learning. For the most meaningful experience, we recommend running a one-month milk carton collection drive before the session. At minimum, participants should bring around 3 cleaned milk cartons each. When participants work with cartons they collected themselves, the lesson becomes much more real: circularity depends on people preparing, sorting, and handling materials properly.
Please collect 1L square-based Tetra Pak-style cartons with white lining.Suitable cartons include:Dairy milk cartonsSoya milk cartonsJuice cartonsPlease avoid:Plant-based milk cartons other than soya milkCoconut water cartonsCartons with unusual lining, shape, or materialMouldy, oily, badly stained, smelly, or poorly dried cartonsCartons should be rinsed well, opened where possible, and dried fully before collection. If in doubt, it is better to dispose of unsuitable cartons than contaminate the rest.
The recommended group size is 30 to 50 participants per session.Groups below 30 may be possible, but a minimum session charge will apply. For groups above 50, we can discuss multiple sessions or a modified format.
The workshop typically runs for 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on group size, venue setup, and the final workshop format. Please allow the venue to be available for around 2.5 hours total, including approximately 30 minutes for setup before the session and 30 minutes for pack-up after.
The recommended minimum age is 15 and above because cutting tools are used. For younger participants, we can discuss a modified format with pre-cut materials, additional supervision, or a simplified activity flow.

Yes, especially if your organisation is looking for a sustainability activity that is practical, participatory, and honest about the real work behind reuse. This is not simply a crafting workshop. Participants do not just make something and leave. They handle real materials, assess what can or cannot be reused, understand the effort behind circularity, and see why reduction matters. It works well for ESG, CSR, employee engagement, Earth Month, World Environment Day, sustainability campaigns, community outreach, and school programmes.
Yes, depending on timeline, group size, and format.Possible customisations may include a pre-workshop carton collection guide, internal comms copy, simple impact summary, message cards, or a partner-led version of the activity.
