If you’re worried, read this

If you’re feeling unsure while using the soap, you’re not alone.

Many people with sensitive or eczema-prone skin have tried many products before. It’s normal to feel cautious, to watch your skin closely, or to wonder if you should stop.

This page is here to help you think things through — calmly, without pressure.

First, a gentle reminder

You don’t need to “push through” anything.

This trial is not about endurance or finishing the bar.
It’s about noticing how your skin responds when things are kept simple.

If at any point something doesn’t feel right, it’s okay to pause or stop.

What can be normal during the first days

Some people notice changes early.
Some notice very little at first.
Both are okay.

Things that can be normal during a trial like this include:

  • Skin feeling different, but not clearly better or worse yet

  • Mild dryness or tightness, especially in the early days

  • Skin taking time to settle as routines change

  • Feeling more aware of your skin than usual

These don’t automatically mean the soap isn’t suitable.

What’s not something to ignore

Please pause or stop if you experience:

  • Stinging or burning that feels intense or persistent

  • Increasing redness or irritation

  • Ongoing discomfort

Anything that makes you feel uneasy or concerned

One thing to check:

If you’re washing over open skin, broken areas, or active wounds, some stinging can happen with any cleanser — even very gentle ones. This doesn’t automatically mean the soap is unsuitable.

If the sensation feels mild and short-lived, you may choose to avoid those areas for now and continue elsewhere.

If it feels uncomfortable, worsening, or concerning, it’s okay to stop.

Listening to your skin matters more than pushing through.

If your skin feels dry or tight

A few things to check before deciding what it means:

  • Are you using hot water?

  • Are you scrubbing or over-lathering?

  • Is the bar able to dry fully between uses?

  • Are you switching back and forth between different cleansers?

Sometimes, small adjustments make it easier to tell what’s really going on.

If things still don’t feel comfortable after adjusting, it’s okay to stop.

If your skin feels “squeaky clean”

Some people notice a squeaky-clean feeling, especially early on.

For many, this softens with continued gentle use, and moisture tends to feel more lasting rather than immediate.

For others, that sensation simply doesn’t feel right — and that’s okay too.

There’s no single “correct” response.

If you’re switching between products

If you’re using this soap once a day and another cleanser for other showers, your skin may feel like it’s going back and forth.

That doesn’t mean anything is wrong — it just makes changes harder to notice.

If it feels manageable, keeping things simple for a short period can help you observe more clearly.
If not, do what feels realistic for you.

When to stop the trial

You can stop at any time.

Stopping does not mean:

  • You failed

  • The trial was wasted

  • Your skin is “difficult”

It simply means you listened.

That’s always a good decision.

If you’re unsure what to do next

You don’t need to decide today.

You can:

  • Pause and return to the soap later

  • Stop and reflect on what you noticed

  • Reach the end of the trial and decide then

There’s no deadline beyond your own comfort.

One last thing...

Trying something new — especially when your skin has been sensitive before — takes courage.

Whether you continue or not, thank you for giving this a thoughtful try.
