Q1
What's special about Cold Process Soaps? How are they different from the usual soap bars we buy from stores?
Cold process soap bars are usually handcrafted in small batches and cured for a minimum of 4 weeks before they are ready for use. During crafting, the combination of oils and alkali kicks off a natural saponification process to produce the soap. Glycerin is formed as a byproduct. This process does not use additional external heat to accelerate the process and preserves the glycerin that is naturally produced.

In comparison, the glycerin in mass commercial bars are often extracted for sale to cosmetics or pharmaceutical companies for better profit, hence there's often a preconception that bar soaps are drying. Sometimes the commercial bars are not soaps, but synthetic detergent (syndet) in a bar form.
Q2
What's glycerin and how is it good for our skin?
Glycerin is a humectant that is able to draw moisture from the environment and to our skin. By doing so, it helps to keep our skin supple even after cleansing. This is especially helpful for friends with dry and sensitive skin, e.g. with eczema / psoriasis conditions who cannot afford to have their skin dry out.
Even for friends with no skin conditions, by preventing our skin from drying out, there's a lower chance of our skin barrier breaking down, and hence helps us maintain healthy skin.
Q3
Are all cold process soaps equal? How to choose one that's suitable for me?
A well formulated cold process soap bar is, in our opinion, better than majority of the commercial off-the-shelf soap for our skin. The oil formulation (choice of oils, proportion of oils etc.), usage of additives and scents (types, infusion method, etc.) can make a difference to the potential benefits of each bar as well as user experience. In some cases, how 'good' a bar is can also differ based on individual preference (e.g. large bubbles vs. creamy lather)

Q1
How are My Naked Bar soaps made? Are they all locally produced in Singapore?
Each and every of My Naked Bar soaps are designed and formulated from scratch by our founder,
Li Ting and handcrafted by her in Singapore. They are produced in small batches, sometimes 1kg at a time for complex designs. After crafting, every bar is put aside for curing for at least a month before they are released for sale.
Q2
Does every bar use the same base formula? How should I go about choosing the most suitable bar for myself?
One of the vision of our founder is Inclusivity in soaps, meaning we hope that everyone who wants to try a bar soap, is able to find a suitable one for themselves, hence the reason for our extensive collection of soap bars.
We design every bar differently, from the base oil formulation to the additives and scents chosen. With each new bar, we often have a real person or a skin condition in mind to guide us in our choice of ingredients and formulation design.

To help users navigate our extensive range of soap bars, we've grouped them in the following collections: Eczema/Psoriasis friendly, Deep Cleansing Clay, Youthful Radiance, Exfoliating Spa, and Home and Living.
Q3
Are My Naked Bar soaps natural, vegan and organic?
As consumers we often use the word 'organic' to describe skincare products that are natural. At my naked bar, we use a selection of organic oils and additives, however not every single ingredient is organic hence we do not claim to be an organic label of soap bars.
Though not 'fully organic', our bars are crafted using natural ingredients leveraging only plant based goodness so every bar is vegan (living up to our commitment to be inclusive). Because of this, we do not use any dairy milk or honey. Instead, we choose alternatives such as rice milk and maple which bring about their own richness. As far as possible, we choose to use fresh ingredients (e.g. cucumber, aloe vera etc.) instead of pre-packaged processed ones.
